Dear friend, acquaintance, interested person and supporter!

I founded the association Mowamo - helping hands to make life easier and more beautiful for people with disabilities in Ghana.

We have collected used walking aids (canes, walkers, wheelchairs and crutches) over the years and now we want to ship them to Ghana. For this concern we still need financial means for the transport to Ghana. We would be very happy if you can support us in this matter. You can do that by donating and/or spreading the word.

Origin

Inspiration was playing theater (Theater Malaria) and caring for people with disabilities.
Despite the difficult situation in which they find themselves, people were full of energy.

People with disabilities in Ghana experience little to no support from the state. There is insurance, but not everyone can afford it. The experiences with the theater group have touched me very much and motivated me to found the association to support disabled people in Ghana.
